Exploring our natural environment is so important to pupils at Staunton and Corse and throughout the year all our children will have the chance to be outside to continue their learning in the open air through our own forest school by our trained forest school leader Mrs Brumfield.
Set inside our apple orchard amid our beautiful grounds, we are uniquely placed to offer the full Forest School experience which is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. .Our forest school sessions supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.
It’s not only muddy walks, its mud pies, stick cakes. making fire and den-building and all those things that create strong memories and fundamentally underpin our value that there is ‘'Something for Everyone' and that it is important for learners in being happy, confident and to reach their potential here.
