PTFA
We have a very active Parent Teachers and Friends Association. It is a friendly association bringing together parents, teachers, staff and the wider community to raise money and to support the school. It provides an opportunity for the school’s community to work together towards our common goals of enhancing the children's educational experiences.
Fundraising
All fundraising money goes towards financially subsidising school trips and activities which might otherwise be unaffordable for families.
The PTFA also aims to provide children at Staunton and Corse with the extra fun things that enrich their time at school and make learning more interesting and exciting. In recent years, for example, the PTFA has contributed towards:
- The coaches to the Christmas Theatre Trip
- The Year 6 leavers trip
- Contributed towards the development of the trim trail
- Contributed towards new i pads
Some of our recent successes include our yearly fireworks evening, Christmas Fayre and Christmas raffle.
You are very welcome to join as a volunteer to help at the extremely successful fund-raising events that take place at the academy. There are many different ways you can help out, whether you have lots of time to offer or not. And, of course, you can always support PTFA events by simply turning up and/or making a donation!
